LX2610 Headed for the 50 hr hydro filter change. Never heard for a filter change with out an oil change but what do I know? Anyway, When I take the 2 filters off can I expect a big or small fluid loss or none?

Not sure if you have a FEL but when I needed to change fluid filters on my MX5100, I lifted the front end with the FEL ,put blocks under the front wheels, had brakes on and lost just a little when replacing filters.

I used a shop vac to create a small suction at the fill port and lost less than a cup while changing both filters and took my time taking off and putting on. The loss I experienced was the fluid in the filters themselves. Thanks to others for posting that tip and videos. Works great.

It's your investment, but I know I dump the break in oil. You might be surprised what it looks like.

Yes, but it is 4 gallons, right? Which is a lot, especially for todays has-mat restrictions. Kubota seems concerned about the life of their tractors so maybe this is cooked into their calculations. I have seen few companies for instance that tell you to warm up engine for 5 minutes. This benefits Kubota and their rep as an engine brought up to operating temp before being used will outlast cold run engines 3 or 4 or more to 1.
