i tapped in the banjo oil fiting bolt on mytractor to raise the snowplow. that was the easy part. return oil should be submerged to minimize foaming. while i was waiting for the reverse gear, i put a peice of well greased aluminum sheet
under the spot i wanted to drill and tap. i then magnatized thr drill bit by rubing
it in one direction only. drilling slow and blowing the fuzz of with commpresed
air. the tap did not want to magnatize to good so plan B. i left the magnet rest
against the tap while taping. i removed the shaveings that fell on the aluminum
with a pencil magnet often. don,t want that in the gear case. i driled a #5 jic
to 3/8 pipe fiting to alow me to press a 3/8 in stainless tube with a 5 thou
squeeze fit and tacked it in 2 places. while working in this spot i fixed the
3 pt hitch lever that was so loose it was rubbing in the fennder. the roll pin
was broke and was held in by a wire. i took a peice of 5/8 sq that was beveled
and welded it on the bottom of the ring. i drilled a 1/4 in hole and reamed
the roll pin hole out to 1/4 in as well. i then slit the welded on 5/8 block and through the ring as well. no more play as the pic shows. hope this helps someone fix there loose levers.
