Hydraulics are too fast, or Im too slow

I rented pallet forks to unload something and, wow, thats not like running a fork lift. I could barely touch the curl without sending the load bouncing off the end of the forks. Way faster than I am on the controls. Any way of mitigating that?

I noticed this too on the tilt side of my top and tilt. The curl on the rear is too slow, but the tilt is way fast. Anything I can do smooth things out?

Low throttle, btw

Thanks

When moving the stick to the right, you need to go past the detent for more control.

If you want even more speed control, you can install inline flow controls on the hoses or cylinders.

What are you running for machine? Hard to give you advice without knowing if you are talking about a tractor, skid steer, lawn mower, utv or something else.

If you haven't had a lot of experience operating the hydraulics, maybe it's just a matter of becoming more familiar with them. Try being more gentle with the controls and see if that helps.

You should be able to feather the valve control body but we don't know what you are running...

If this is for long term usage, I installed a "needle valve" (Cost more than restriction orifice) but are adjustable. To be honest, I set it once and never changed it from the original setting.

Again not knowing your hose size, this is the one I have.... https://www.surpluscenter.com/Hydra...nce-WFC-600-In-Line-Flow-Control-9-7960-6.axd

YES , operating pallet forks on a tractor is a LOT different than a forklift !!! After 7 years still not smoooooooth using them on my BX23S,especially compared to the A-C 5K forklift I had.
I use my left hand to brace my right , which helps but it's still a BIG 'learning curve'.
Other 'trick' , use the slowest RPM you can to do the operations.

The 'valving' is NOT designed/built the same way as a true forklift.

Yes ypu can adjust flow rate. How you do it depends on your particular needs.

What model tractor and loader?

Is the bucket OK other than the rental forks?

What is "curl" on a top and tilt setup?

What sort of rear remote valves do you have?
