I need an adapter to connect a 3/8" hydraulic return line to one of the return ports on my L275 shown below. I pulled the plug (gasketed, straight thread) for that port and took it to a local shop that makes hydraulic hoses, but they couldn't match the thread. I tried looking up PS 3/8 thread but found nothing that matched that designation. OD of the thread is ~0.645" & ~0.051" pitch.

While this one is described as 3/8 JIC

Both are listed as hydraulic fittings.

Is there an equivalent thread for the PS 3/8 shown above?

Technically (BS-21) PS (obsolete) is the Rs variant of BSPP

Rs = external parallel thread for fits made on machined face per BS-21 Appendix C.

Most hydraulic shops/suppliers will know that as G thread or simply BSPP. You want a gasketed/bonded G thread port adapter. Something like this:

The hydraulic shop should not have had any problem ID'ing it.....
