The site glass on my L235 looks like something scraped it making it difficult to read the hydraulic fluid level. Is it possible to wet sand and polish the glass or will it need to be replaced? If it needs to be replaced, how do you remove the old glass and install the new one?

Thanks,
Fred

Re: Hydraulic Sight Glass

You can try, but most of the time it's easier to replace it.
$8.50 part

Tilt the tractor so the fluid is below sight glass, then use a flat screw driver to pop the sight glass out, then pop out the rubber grommet.
Little silicone on the outside of the rubber grommet, replace grommet and then insert sight glass. ;)
