And allow for more lift capacity than the tractor weight is designed for. More tractor roll overs. Not a great idea.

You do realize Kubota themselves sells shims...
Do you have a link to a such a kit sold by Kubota?

Neil Messick made a video about this.

I purchased shims from my dealer and a gauge from @Kennyd4110 when I bumped my pressure. Ended up not needing the shims, just tightened the valve a bit. That got me near the higher recommended range, I forget the exact number.

Cool! I really enjoyed more hands on time with my tractor pulling the cab so I could replace the main steel hydraulic line after it split lifting rocks at my max loader capacity. If I bump up the pressure I can do this more often! Maybe next time I will let the dealer fix it so they can keep my machine in their shop for 2 weeks to replace a $300 part and charge me $5-10K labour.

Does Kubota sell shim kits to do what you did, i.e. get the pressure within factory specs, or do they sell them so that customers can raise the pressure above factory specs like the kits found on eBay and other online vendors?

I have NO IDEA why people assume these kits are all about boosting your pressure ABOVE factory specs.. we have NEVER promoted that! The point of the kit is to make sure you get the maximum performance that your machine is DESIGNED for... most machines are never adjusted/checked at the dealer before delivery.. additionally over time the spring in the hydraulic pump weakens and adjustments are part of the maintenance.. not sure why some people don't understand this.

Yes and also probably yes. Need to know what you are doing before you do it. It’s not an unbolt, toss in a handful of shims and reinstall type deal.
Shims are sold individually from .1, .2 and .4 there may be more. When I did mine I was within specs, though on the lower end. I didn’t add any shims, simply got another wrench flat or so out of the valve body, which was still in torque spec. I probably could have added the .1 and tightened normally.
