I have a 2380 that I am trying to mount the front snow blade and adapter to. This is the second year I have had this setup. I mounted the adapter for the blade without and problems. However, I have been unable to connect the hydraulic hoses to the tractor. I have tried to release pressure on the tractor as well as the hose and have had no success. This is the first time IO have had any problems with connections. I am at a loss as to what to do next. Any suggestion anyone has as to how to correct this problem would be greatly appreciated. I talked to a local dealer and he felt the problem was pressure in the hoses coming from the adapter that is used to raise and lower the blade. I have tried to release this pressure but with no success. Help, please.

Assume you’re dealing with quick connects.

If male, if you can depress the little nib in the middle that should relieve the pressure. Smacking it on a hard block of wood or something like a rag covered loader arm usually works. Wouldn’t hit it directly on a metal object for fear of damaging it. There are also decompression tools made specifically for that task.

If female fittings, loosening the fitting to release the pressure is only way I know to release the pressure. Of course that would work with male fittings as well.

Others may have other better methods. Those are the only methods I’ve used.

As already stated. Had the same issue installing loader after the winter. Loosen the connector fitting until fluid drips and retighten.

While I know and understand the 'crack the connector' replies , does anyone else have a problem with HAVING to do that ? Why should the proud new owner of an expensive, complicated piece of equipment, have to buy tools and littlerally risk 'life and limb', to depressurized any hydraulics on their machine ? Unless they have the proper, correct wrenches(NOT adjustables !!),they could be injured when 'cracking the nuts'. Not everyone who buys 'stuff' , is mechanically minded, reads manuals or understands 'how-to-do-its'.
Surely 'somewhere' in the tractor or loader manuals there's the 'proceedure' to follow, and if the dealer isn't any help, call the district office to have someone explain how it's done.
I doubt anyone would suggest to homeowner to remove the cover off the breakerbox and then tighten all the screws holding the wires in the breaker, including the 200A mains, with power on.

On my 2680 I simply shut off the tractor and work the lift lever in all directions and then leave it in the float position. It relieves the pressure completely on the tractor and allows easy attachment of the quick connects to the tractor. Make sure all the connections are clean and dirt free before attaching.

I don't have a problem doing that. If you don't have any mechanical skills then you can pay someone who DOES have such skills to do mechanical stuff. Better yet, don't buy a tractor at all and hire such work out to others. 🙂

I’ve forgot to leave my key on (tractor off) or pushing the wrong 3rd function button on my joystick to relieve pressure in the 3rd function ……

I don’t think I’ve seen anything about the tractor needs to be not running!
Then as stated work the lever in all directions, if you have a 3rd function, release both buttons as well.
