I have a BX23S. It has the front hydraulic connection installed by the Dealer. Parker flat couplers.
The couplers protrude for a steel box or what looks like a box ( a protective steel container) . Some where in there I have a small leak. I need to remove that steel box but I can't get it off because the couplers are bigger then the hole in the box.
The only way I can take that box off is to remove the flat couplers.
Here is the problem.
I'm sure that if I unscrew the parker flat coupler, hydraulic fluid is going to either leak or shoot out. I need to take the couplers off and then I can see about the other fitting.
In addition, where do you fill and/or look for hydraulic levels .

With the tractor not running but key on, engage the third function both ways.
TADA no pressure in the lines.
Have a small catch container for the little bit that might come out when you remove the couplers.

I've used that method to remove the pressure on the connectors when I wanted to put hook up my grapple . I was thinking that when I took off that coupler (pioneer) the fluid would just start pouring out. But I think that you are right. At this location, there should not be any pressure after making the move to remove it.

As for as location of fill and check. It looks like the rear of the tractor and I do see an orange pull ring there.

Thanks
