Okay, maybe I'm over thinking this but not finding any clear info. Just got a deal on a smallish Ansung backhoe to occasionally go on my M5040 for some light digging work. Manual for the backhoe says:

"The correct method for the particular tractor will depend on the remote couplers available, whether a loader valve or other accessory valve is connected to the tractor system, and whether the tractor has an open-center system(constant pumping of oil to control valve and back to reservoir) or a closed-center system (no flow of oil until there is a demand at one hydraulic cylinder). The four hook up methods are described below. IMPORTANT: Follow instructions carefully when connecting backhoe to tractor hydraulic system."

But then does not go on to describe the methods. My plan was to use the rear remote for supply and tee into the sump line for return. Is this correct? It's not going to be on the tractor too often, so just looking for a basic setup that will work without getting too elaborate.

Currently, the pump directly feeds the FEL valve, and the remotes/3 point hitch are fed off the power beyond port on the FEL valve.

I want to say that years ago we had a JD 4020 that we mounted a backhoe on and just stuck the return line in the hydraulic fill port. Im not sure if that is what you are asking but that worked...

Need to find someone to explain open and closed center systems. I have open systems on everything. Who ever under stands will help you get it hooked up correctly. If you do not understand get help.

Your tractor is an Open Center system.

Please provide the Ansung model number and I will look further.

I looked at the 660H model. It mentions the 4 possible hydraulic connection types but then only shows one so I think the manual is very Korean generic.

Have you used your rear remotes before. Do you know which side of the pairs is pressurized to extend a cylinder when the control lever is moved in a particular direction?

I am thinking you can connect both BH hoses to a pair of rear remotes but which hose into which side of the remote pair is the question.

I have looked at the M7040 Owners' manual page for rear remotes and have marked it up.

Likely your tractor's Owners' manual will have a similar page.

What I want you to see is that the inside the cab lever position can cause a remote port to push or supply oil and the other part of the pair can return oil
