I have a B3200 that I cannot get the loader hyd coupler on after tractor has been running. It has to set for quite some time before they will go on. Has anyone had the same problem? It is called a quick connect loader but if you have to wait hours for it to connect it is a problem.

Have you cycled the loader controls with the engine off to potentially remove any stored pressure?

It is also not unusual to have hydraulic hoses out in the sun to build pressure, which means that when you attempt to hook up the loader, the loader side of the hoses have pressure, and it will have to be relieved before they will connect.

Same will occur with temp changes, remove your loader on a cold day and try to reconnect it on a hot day and it is about impossible until the pressure from the temp increase is bled off.

There are several ways to do this, with various hazards associated with the various ways, a quick search will let you know the ways.

As stated, it is residual pressure that is holding the little ball on the male end or the valve on the female end closed.

Besides rotating the FEL joystick to all positions to relieve pressure on the tractor side you can push the ball on the male end on the side of the FEL to relieve the pressure in the FEL. Oil will likely squirt out.

On the FEL's female side you'll need a wooden dowel (like a chopstick) to push in the valve since it is located at the bottom of the fitting. Once again, oil should squirt out. Do this to all of the fittings that have to be hooked up.

The fittings will go together very smoothly without pressure on them.

It was built up pressure on the cylinders. Took off the loader when it was cold and it was 90 yesterday. Loosened the swivel connnectors to let pressure off and it worked. It makes me feel like a dummy but I will always remember from now on.

No reason to feel like a dummy. We all had to learn about this stuff at some time. The Internet and tractor forums are a major source of useful information.

Back in my day :)rolleyes:) it was trial and error, mostly error, until a solution was found.

We are all glad to help and hope you can pass it forward someday.
