Via a post back in February it was determined I had a detent issue (Wolfman). I watched the video online how to repair the detent valve and took it (both) apart today. I can find nothing wrong with the parts so I cleaned things up and put it back together. Still have the same problem so the question is just because the detent looks ok can it be bad? B2910, loader lifts with joy stick at at about 3/4 pull, lift stops when joy stick pulled all the way back.

I noticed a bad vibration at the joy stick and discovered a bad ujoint at the mid PTO. Replaced it and solved the problem.

I am confused? "loader lifts with joy stick at at about 3/4 pull, lift stops when joy stick pulled all the way back."
and was solved by a bad u joint on the PTO ?

Couple of posts about a couple different things. One had a joystick that didn't function correctly and he couldn't fix it by cleaning and reassembly.

Next guy had a vibration in the joystick that was caused by a U joint but somehow transmitted the vibration to the joystick.

Mine would jump out of float. It may not make sense but the problem stopped when I fixed the vibration. THe entire manifold and joy stick would shake like crazy.

Did you ever figure it out?
My appologies, I was responding to the wrong problem. I took the complete hydralic manifold to a repair facility. He too took the detent apart and found nothing wrong. I put it back together and had the same problem. Went back to the repair guy and he suggested a new detent kit ($166.) that corrected that issue.
The vibration problem had to do with snow thrower. The vibration would kick it out of float. Sorry for confusion.
