Looking at a tiller for a bx 2380. Debating between a 48" or 54". Forward tine rotation. My ground is heavy sand

Thanks

Buy the Land Pride... Tough as nails, and the paint matches the tractor.

old skool rule is no wider than width of 'track' ( wheel spacing ), so a 48"+- would be chosen. I know, 54 is 'only' 6" more but depending on soil conditions 'heavy, hard,etc_ it could be too much for the lil beastie.
I run a 5' offset tiller behind my D-14(40HP) with 6' track. On some fields it ain't 'happy', loves the veggie garden though...LOTS of compost and 'tilthe' !
