This newly acquired machine was in a barn that caught on fire and has damage to some plastic/rubber parts. I need to remove the dash to get to the wiring under there, replace the temp gauge, take the switch to a dealer to get a key. I need to remove the panel covering the fuel tank. I've got all the bolts I can find removed, but it looks to me like I have to remove the steering wheel, then wiggle the dash around to get that panel off the fuel tank.

Any veteran mechanics to this model to give me some coaching?

Thanks. len

So no replies tells me not many work/own these old machines.

I got it figured out. I have made modifications so the panel over the fuel tank can go on and off without removing the steering wheel, dash and the whole top end. Should have been made that way originally!
