Hi, I just got my first tractor, a used L3410 GST. It came with the bush hog attached and I took it off to attach the box scraper. The front half of the shaft is still attached to the tractor and I am not sure how to remove it, and the manual hasn't shown up yet. It has the plastic tube and plastic shield over the u-joint and I can't see what is going on there real well. Looks like it may have a pin or a bolt holding it on the shaft. How do I remove the shaft?

With tractor shut off, reach in under the PTO guard and grab the end of the shaft that slides onto the PTO splines. You should feel a pin sticking out --- press the pin in while pulling on the shaft at the same time. The shaft should slide off of the PTO splines.
