Exactly what it says on the tin. How do I get the mucky oil out of my loader? It looks like engine oil. Whatever it is, it is in the tractor too under the Kubota fluid. I suppose I could take the rams off and take the pipe ends off and manually operate them to force the oil out or is there another way?
Thanks in advance

To flush the loader and the system, use a cheap universal hydraulic fluid, then replace with good UDT fluid.

To do the loader cylinders on the loader, loosen the hose on the side full of fluid (other side will have minimal fluid in it), have it in an area where dropped fluid will not be an issue, and put a bucket under it to catch what you can, extend cylinder, tighten fitting retract cylinder, then run the cylinder in and out several times, this should eliminate 99% of the fluid that was left in the cylinder. ;)

Reading your other post on stuck parts, I wouldn't attempt to pull the cylinder off let alone apart.

You say:

There is some decent Kubota UDT fluid in the tractor already?

If so, do you think it's possible to cycle the loader enough to flush the crap fluid into the tractor, then dump the tractor fluid and get rid of it all at once?

In my thinking, the amount of fluid in lines and cylinders is small compared to the amount of fluid in the tractor itself.

Unfortunately, I'm unfamiliar with your L3450 tractor, so I can't go beyond generalities.

If you don't think that will work, then do as Wolfman recommends.

To flush the loader and the system, use a cheap universal hydraulic fluid, then replace with good UDT fluid.
My concern with disconnecting cylinders/rams is the chance for damage to fittings, leaks, etc. when reconnecting. Like Wolfman said, I would not remove the cylinders/rams from the loader. More chance for problems. ...
