How to calculate how much off MSRP with Implement Discount

Hi. Quick question. I've been comparing quotes from the dealership vs the MSRP prices off Kubota's website. How does the Implement Discount price affect the overall price? Is the $1000 off two implements (for BX) go towards the price off MSRP or is it independent of the price. Current price I've been quoted for a 2370 is 9% below MSRP. If I ask for a higher percent, do I disregard the 1000 implement discount in my calculation?

Ran across some interesting information regarding what the percent dealerships will use to sell to the state:
http://www.dot.state.mn.us/maintenance/equipment/contracts/tractor_utility/2012/index.html
http://www.dot.state.mn.us/maintenance/equipment/contracts/tractor_utility/2011/
Shows up as 20% and 18% off list.

I could be wrong here...but you are not going to get wholesale costs that gov gets on almost anything. 9% I'd say is about the norm probably. I'd say if you could get 10% or better, you are doing well. over 15% and I'd almost be worried it was a rebranded Green tractor....

on your BX if you are getting it with 2 implements. your price should be reflected at a minimum of the cost off plus the implement bonus being advertised off msrp...at a minimum. most have enough wiggle room their initial offer is going to be good. although I'm not sure how much haggle room there is with tractors. I used to be able to walk into my local truck dealer, ask to see the invoice for a particular vehicle on their lot, offer 500-1000 over it, and they would take it.

I've always had good luck going to several dealers and pricing the exact same tractor. After the first round normally one of them will shine above the others and then you can start to see which one is the hungry one. Prices will drop most of the time and you'll get a fair deal. The way some dealers are willing to ship for free up to 1K miles it's really a buyers market.

I don't know how it would work, but when I bought my wife's van, I emailed 3 honda dealers with a spec sheet with what we wanted. Took the lowest price quote from a dealer across town to the one closest and they matched it plus gave us 8% off. I did copy all three at once so they could see who all I was asking from lol.
