I am looking into a 3-point hitch flail mower on my L5740HSC-3 tractor and am considering one that has a hydraulic cylinder to offset the mower to the side of the tractor. What would I need to add to my tractor hydraulic system to provide this capability?
I have a hydraulic coupler off the back of the tractor which has a loopback hose. I believe this is called power beyond???
I use this hose and connector to power the backhoe.
Would I use this with some kind of hydraulic valve to control the mower offset, or would I have to add more additional hydraulic plumbing and valves?
As you can tell I know very little about the hydraulics on this tractor, but I'm trying to learn!

You would need a valve set to install. See post #10 in this thread for information on the way to hook up the valves.
I would install a set of at least 2 valves but a set of three or four would give you control for more cylinders on one implement. Easier to do at one time.

But you could run a set of long hoses from the loader valve to the flail and control the cylinder on the mower using the FEL valve.
