I have a 6100 D, I think its about 1977 or so
The rating is 14 HP. How much torque would it make? Best guess on the web is 24 Ft pounds of torque
Does this sound correct?

When looking at specs, you can't take industrial engines and take those specs for AG use.
A B7100 is equipped with a D750-A not a d750-B they are different engine performance curves.

Also the B6100 does not use a D750-B it uses a D650-A, different HP and torque.
But great research, you're almost on the right path.

24FTlbs is probably real close

But even with original specs for the engine, they really wouldn't cross over to a 40 year old engine unless its been completely rebuilt to new spec.

Why do you need to know torque specs?

Thats interesting.... I had the same question about my B8200's D950. In the original brochure from the 1980's it said 41 lb/ft, exactly like the website I posted above, the difference was HP and max rpm's. The brochure quote 2600 rpms and the website said 3000. That makes since to have lower HP at 19.5 at 2600 and 21.5 at 3000.

I did find the B6100D brochure online complete with the hp/torque curve chart. The only problem is a hazy photo so I can't read it. It is cheap at $4, maybe Sandman will want to pick it up.

The B8200's also had mutiple runs of engines and the HP changed during its run.

There is quite a variance in HP between models and use.
Crazy part is a D850 in one engine with the highest HP of that era.
It's higher than the D950 built at the same time.

All the motors are externally the same size so you can take a B6100 and pull out the D650 and replace it with a D950 without any issues.
I have 3 B7100's all with different motors than original.
Two have D950's in them.
The other B7100 is equipped with a D850-B with a specs of 22HP.
Now is that engine actually putting out that much, who knows I'm not spending my time or effort to go have it dyno tested.
