How much does a B2650 rear tire and rim weigh? Mine came off.

I was driving down a snow packed road and was making a turn and the rear tire came partially off the rim! All the rim guard is gone obviously, i have stock size R4 tires.

Not sure if i should try to get it back on with a strap or just take it off to a tire shop and also what do i do about the rim guard? Is adding it something i could do or should i just drain the other tire to make things even.

Should i worry about this again? I have had this tractor for years without issues. I did notice a few days ago some of the rim guard was leaking out around the bead of the tire nothing looks bent or rusty or two have any leaks.

I think it happened because i slid partially off the road and was turning at the same time causing the tire to slip on the wet rim maybe. I also had a lot of weight on the rear.

Anyway google says it weighs 400-600 pounds is that right? If so i may have a hard time getting it to a tire shop by my self and would a auto tire shop even be able to do anything with it?

Any info would be great!

A B2650 tire does not weigh that much, even with the rim.
Load it on a trailer and take it to a tire shop and have them fix it and fill it with rimguard.

And I the future check your tire pressures, it was probably leaking because the pressure was to low.

It could have been just low i guess is that more than likely the reason?

Happens a lot in cold conditions.
Low on air, cold makes it drop more, then cold stiff side walls don't flex and then pop, off the bead it goes.

Also when checking pressure in a filled tire, make sure the valve stem is in the 12 o’clock position, otherwise you will just get liquid, not air pressure. You can buy air pressure gauges designed for liquid filled tires pretty cheap.

Any idea what is different about a tire gauge for liquid verses on that is not? You would still have to get the valve stem at 12 o'clock position to measure air. Maybe different materials?

I don’t know. I just know they are specifically made for checking pressure on liquid filled tires. And since they are only $10, I bought one for tractor use. I’m guessing that the materials are more resistant to liquid damage.

I have also learned to put painters tape on the side of the tire to let me know I am at the 12 o'clock position from the seat of the tractor. Simple solution to avoid getting on and off the tractor if you do not have a spotter.

Is the strap method the best chance of getting the rear tire back on?
