How long to attach/take off loader?

Got my BX2360 this spring. Been mowing all summer, without the loader.

Had the loader on/off 4 or 5 times since I had it.

Put it on tonight in 8 minutes from the time I pulled up to it. Hoses, stand folded, etc. all done. Don't think I've farted around putting it on more than 15 minutes, and that was a problem hose.

Taking it off is about 3 minutes.

For anybody that's tinkered with an "old" loader, just amazes me!

My memories are hooking up a 1953 Minneapolis Moline ZAU, and it was usually cold, because the blade was used to plow snow. My father still has it.

Challenge question (and not a hard one):

I drive with my thumbs on the outside of the steering wheel. Why?

Not a tough question, but I told someone that last week and he looked at me like I had 2 heads.

I was about 12 or so. Don't think I broke it, but a stone in the crick behind the barn spun the wheel. Hurt real bad for couple weeks. Never said anything to my dad or grandfather, because then I'd really been in a world of hurt!!

Funny part is I really do drive with my thumbs outside the wheel, almost 40 years later. That's called "lesson learned."

RCW,,, I knowed that cause I use to do a little off roading way back when run the gas line and power lines with a bunch and party when we got there and start back next morning,, and the CJ never had power steering,,, And yup one time was all it took for me too

I can R&R the FEL on my BX2350 in about 2 minutes each way.

I know what you mean about the steering wheel kicking; I've had my Fordson Major Diesel kick many times while bush hogging! I steer using the spinner so it just rips the spinner out of my grip!

The old Moline is a narrow front end, with a hand clutch. When they hit something just right, the steering wheel can just about sing!

When that wheel starts a-going, its good to have quick reflexes to grab the clutch, and not have your hand(s) tangled up in the steering wheel spokes!!!

Skeets - my Jeep was a '79 CJ7 ragtop. Odd options - 60/40 split bench front seat, 6 cyl automatic with Quadratrac, PS, PB. Thing would go anywhere - but had the "oh no" switch in the glove compartment for front and rear posi-traction, which the Jeep Quadratracs had back then.

The little straight 6 worked hard to drive it - 10-12 mpg was normal. My worst was about 3 mpg on a trip in a snow storm.
