Appears to be a hex drive pipe plug. If so, you will need the proper size Allen wrench. Dig out any debris and get the wrench all the way in before trying to turn it.

Try different sae and metric Allen wrenches to see if you get a fit. It could be that the hex starts a little bit down in there. You are being careful and that is good, you have one good chance at getting it out and if that fails it gets ugly.

First thing to do. BUY one of those plugs !
2nd, find the proper , new METRIC Allen key that fits it. JAP engine 'has' to be Metric.
3rd, heat the one in the engine real good, odds are it will have 'thread sealer'
4th,try to 'break it free' say 1/4 turn. when it moves, go 1/4 turn out, 1/8 turn in , repeats until totally free and out.

If it doesn't want to come out there is an EASY Plan 'B'. Buy a $6 rad hose/sensor unit.Cut rad hose, install, clamp , then screw 1/8thNPT sensor into it.
