How do I get this plug out of the motor it doesn't have any kind of a head on it and I don't want to tear anything up

Appears to be a hex drive pipe plug. If so, you will need the proper size Allen wrench. Dig out any debris and get the wrench all the way in before trying to turn it.

Try different sae and metric Allen wrenches to see if you get a fit. It could be that the hex starts a little bit down in there. You are being careful and that is good, you have one good chance at getting it out and if that fails it gets ugly.

It also might have been installed using Locktite, so you might have to put some heat on it from a flame to loosen the Locktite's grip.
