Leafy England....
hi guys,
whilst in the process of stripping down the bodywork from my L225 i have been halted by a pesky switch, now i dont normally get stuck with these things as from previous encounters with various switches there are normally small grub screws etc tucked away or hidden that lock the switch knob to the shaft, but i cant get this pesky thing off.
there is a small hole that may give access to a grub screw but cant see or feel one in there.
Any ideas on how this is held on, or, how to get it off:mad:

I need to drop all the body work of tommorow for blasting so really need to remove it asap .

cheers
rob

I had a virtually identical situation on a piece of electronic gear years ago; a hole in the switch knob, but no detectable screw. Turns out there was a small plastic plug that covered up the hole, and someone had shoved it to the bottom of the hole, hiding the screw.
I'd guess there is a screw (maybe allen head?) in there somewhere, and once you get the knob off, there will be an obvious nut or ring to remove the switch.

yep, normal nut & washer on shaft of switch to hold switch body in place, but nothing to be seen through the hole, cant even feel any thing when probing, had a strong beam of light on it also but nothing but blackness:confused:

may be a angle grinder job:eek:;)
