I went to use the Kubota yesterday to move a tree and when I went to push in the clutch the pedal felt weird and it did not engage properly and the Kubota started going backwards by itself the pedal is mushy? What is wrong? I do not live close to a dealer but I am trying to find out if this is something simple I can fix by myself. My husband and I looked through the manual and I looked online and it said it might be FROZEN????:(

Hi Mamadukes. When a tractor sits for along time with the clutch engaged ( pedal up)without being used, sometimes the clutch will rust to the pressure plate. Thats what they mean by frozen. That does not sound like your problem. Could be busted fingers on your clutch. Be a little patient and some one will come along here and give you better advice. You came to the right place. :DWould help if you posted model and whether it is hydrostat or gear drive. Both have a clutch but different machines are prone to different problems.:D Dusty
