Is this what you talking about?

And have you extended it out for easier attachment?

And what are you attaching to it?

ok say i put the box blade on the tractor, i have three points to pin to. the upper bar pins into a mount in between the lift cylinders and they are in the way of getting the pin in and out of. i call it the drawbar mount cause i can adjust the drawbar to adjust the angle of the box. i will stop and get a pic this evening.

not my tractor but it shows close to what i'm talking about. maybe i should call it a turnbuckle. where it pins on the tractor is stuffed between the lift cylinders. i will get a better pic on the way home.

The trick is to put the tractor end of the top link in first. Lift the hitch enough to get the pin in, stow the top link in the provided hook and THEN lower the arms to attach to the implement.

You may have a pin that is not original and too long to be easily removed. But it could be just a tight space in there. You may want to buy a new pin from the dealer if the are not too expensive.
