Hello I'm new to forum (L2202DT questions)

Just got an old L2202DT that needs a lot of work, I'm trying to find the engine number, my serial number looks like this- L2202DT-51840, I just got off the phone with a nice lady from Just Tractors and ordered a service manual and parts manual. I'm having a hard time trying to locate the engine number, I took a picture of it and can you tell me if that's the correct number, or do I need to look some where else, I got it on the right side of the block kind of behind the injection pump. Any info. would be great!!!!

Welcome to the forum. Since its a grey market, you might have more luck in that forum...

I have an L2202, its a Kubota/kiote hybred, only made for a coupla years, search articles for grey market tractors. I never have figgered out where the number is on mine...

Oh, and I'm pretty sure that number on the motor is just a casting #. If you do find one, tell me where it is...

That is a D1402 Engine, fairly common and easy to get parts for it.

If you take a picture of the top of the head so I can see the injectors I can tell you if it's a IDI (Indirect Injection) or a DI (Direct Injection) engine as they made both models.

Oh cool, now I actually can order some parts for it, where do you recommend I get parts for these grey market tractors?
I only have 2 pics of the head and its the casting numbers on the exhaust side right now that's on my phone, but I can take more pics when I get home tomorrow. Thank you you so much I appreciate the response.

That is an IDI (indirect injection engine), it wasn't used in other non grey market tractors so you have to get inventive about parts.
What parts are you thinking you need?

It over heats, so probly thermostat, water pump, head gasket kit with possibly cracked heads, hoses, possible overhaul, all filters, etc.,? Is there a letter after the D1402.? Thanks Wolfman.
