Hi, very helpful site, first time poster. My headlights/running lights are not working, i dont know if its the connection/ wiring or what. I dont think the bulbs are burst out bc it happened to all of them at once.
Anyway, while flipping the on/off switch to the lights, i lost track of which way was on and which was off. I guess i left it on bc my battery died. But since i kept flipping the switch, i dont know if up or down is off. I bought a new battery and have hooked it up but the lights still dont come on. Im less concerned with getting the lights to work, as i am about not ruining my new battery.
My (dumb) question: i have a B8200 kubota, with an (unlabeled) off/on headlight switch, which way is off?

Thx!

Odd, if lights arent working, battery shouldnt go dead. As there is no draw.as a rule, clockwise is on. If its a rotary switch. Wouldnt suprise me if both bulbs are out. But doesent explain battery failing. I usually use a simple test light to check for working circuits.

Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you might have a short in the wires going to the lights. That could also explain why the lights don't work.

Sounds like a shorted wire.

Find and check all fuses. May be an inline fuse wired into the system aftermarket.

Check battery cables (even with new battery) for corrosion and failure and tight clean chassis ground connection.

Get to back of switch and test with test lamp or multimeter.

Please post back your continuing experiences so we may all learn.

the kubota switches are all crap as they get some water and rust / corrode right away. Then ya go to buy a replacement and they want $27! usually pushing it forward is on. I tried to clean it out but the inside was corroded beyond fixing it. if they would use stainless steel and other types of metal and not tin crap from china.
