A lot of my tractor use is woodland, including grapple work. It's very easy to get damage from branches or timber on the ground, recently put a hole in the floor of my Ranger side by side from a stick laying on the track, tire flipped it up and it came through the floor!
I just fitted a grill guard on my MX5800, I saw them many months ago on here and it took me quite a while to track down Dawson who makes them. It was a simple install, just had to drill 4 holes 5/16" diameter. It did not come with hardware, you need 4 bolts 5/16" x 1 1/4", nyloc nuts, 12 flat washers.
There is a lot of expensive stuff behind that plastic grill cover on a MX5800! I then trailered it to my local dealer for an extra set of rear remotes to be fitted, getting ready for a busy time as soon as the snow and ice has gone.
I purchased another model for my L3901 which came unpainted from Lown Performance, I just gave it the first coat of paint. This 2 piece model came with a very nice "chin strap" lower piece which boxes in the space below the grill guard to give total protection from below, I will share photos after I have installed it.
