Hi,
to cut a long story short, i replaced all pulleys after a belt snapped. two were rough but i replaced all for peace of mind.
Now after 20 minutes mowing, im getting belt smoke and slippage.
tension appears okay so I am guessing pulley alignment? is alignment by eye the only way to align these on the deck?
I am using an aftermarket dunlop belt, which is the correct size? do I really need an oem kubota item?
Are there aftermarket uprated belts for higher HP decks that are worth looking into?
What else could this be, bar a tensioner or pulley alignment issue?
ive noticed when mowing at a gradient, ie one side of the tractor significantly higher than the other, then the belt smokes and breaks.
hoping someone can point me in the right direction!
thanks
