The PTO on my GR 2110 went last week turns out is the gear (160) has chewed the splines out of the clutch basket (190)
Obviously, the gear is hardened and the clutch basket does not seem to be hardened, seems kind of strange. The gear is perfect, but the clutch basket blinds are stripped.
I hear the PTO is a common problem on this and I was wondering is this the common problem or is it something else? The gear and clutch basket are approximately $700 and clutch plates are $720. Cnd
And the entire clutch assembly, including the case part number is 160 to 430 including 60 and 70 is $1100 Canadian. So that includes every clutch plate brake plate springs bearings and the casting itself as well as the arm. So likely I will go this route and replace the whole Assembly. At least I’ll have new clutch plates and brake plates
Just a sidenote, it seems our parts are cheaper in Canada than yours are in the US.
Just wondering if anybody’s done this Repair and had any issues afterwards. The service advisor at my Kabota dealer so they don’t usually have much luck repairing the hydrostatic unit and that they’ve had better luck replacing the whole thing at $5500.
Was just looking for some input
