Guys,
I'm new to this site. Thanks for any advice out there.
My dad has a GR 2110 mower (diesel version). Recently he noticed oil on the floor just underneath the front driver side axle (just on the inside of the tire). After further studies, it looks like the oil is coming from the seal that connects the spindle to the rest of the axle. When I reviewed the service manual, it points out 2 breathers, 2 drains and 1 dipstick. When I removed the dipstick to check the oil level, I noticed a pressure release from the housing. Which makes me think that somehow the breathers are not performing, thus causing a pressure build up in the housing and then in turn, forcing oil past the seal. Has anyone experienced this problem? I went ahead and drained the oil in both hub assemblies, pulled and cleaned the breathers and added new Kubota fluid. I'm now waiting to see if that makes a difference. I did also notice that the oil was merky with looks to be suspended air bubbles. Note, the tractor only has 68 hours on it.
Any advice on what may be causing this issue?
Thanks,
Brady
