the previous owner had cut the black/white wire going to the glow plugs and
had a wire direct from the batt to a starter button on a cord. i checked the glow plug indicator and it was open. the wire was .037 dia and looked like nichrome
wire. i happen to have a salvaged dryer heating element and the wire was .047.
i gave it 3 coils instead of the original 2 coils. it worked beautiful. the spin on oil filer works, no leaks and the reverse automatic latch works good. no problems shifting out of reverse. woooo hooooo.
