So my B2710 is my first tractor. This will be my first winter with it. I'm curious, should the glow plug light come on when I turn the key to the right but not all the way to the start position. I started my tractor on Saturday and it was probably 50 degrees. I wasn't sure if it's just not cold enough for the glow plug light to come on or what. When the key is all the way to the right and in the start position and the engine is cranking over the glow plug light is on at that time. Ive never seen the glow plug light on when the engine wasn't cranking. But like I said this will be my first winter with it. Any information is appreciated.

Although other will know specifically on your model...on my older L4400 I turn the key to the left to kick the glow plugs on. Then to the right to start.

ahhhhh.... I'll have to look at that. I didn't get a manual with the tractor. Maybe I'll try and find that and see if it says it should turn to the left for the plugs.

Yeah thats the best thing to do...get the manual for several reasons--weight limitations, service times, general knowledge. You can usually find it online and print it, read it cover to cover.

I went back out and checked out my key positions and I just wasnt stopping at the glow plug position before I moved to the start position. I was going straight from on to start. Thanks for all the help.
