For a number of days the glow plug indicator light on the dash of my 3010 model had been acting up. Sometime it would act normal but, other times it would stay on even tho the tractor started as usual. Sometime it would flicker.
Anyway, a new controller solved the problem.
Once you get the dash shrouding out of the way, replacing the controller is a cinch. However, the reason I am starting this second paragraph is to alert folks working on this model tractor to be sure to replace the bolts holding these modules(controller and glow plug relay) in place in the same direction that they were in the first place. If the bolts are reversed(nut on the inside) the dash cluster will not seat in place making its correct placement frustrating. It took me hours to figure out why I was having soooooo much trouble getting the mounting bolts on the dash cluster to line up. Turns out that a bolt turned the wrong way interferes with the dash cluster alignment.
