I posted earlier regarding a P3011 error message. I think I have resolve the problem. I think the exterior air filter just needed to be cleaned. The tractor is running fine now. Kubota tech told me that the error code should go away after cycling the engine the number of times. Does that sound right? I just dont want to run this if there is a problem.

I don't actually KNOW, but it does not sound right to me. Cycling the key on and off works on my 2003 truck, but if you have started the tractor and turned it off a couple of times and the code is still there I am not optimistic. There is a procedure to remove an error code on a 60 series tractor like mine, that an owner can try, and another similar one for the L01 series, but you or someone that has a WSM for an MX5800 needs to read it out of there. Nevertheless I think lugbolt and NIW are right and the ECU may require interfacing with a computer with the Diagmaster sofware. As said before get in touch with Kubota and see if a regional technical representative can't help you out. Their email service is slow, but when I persevered with questions I have gotten good help.

Kubota Corp or a dealer like Messicks should have digital forms of the WSM. Kubota books.com has some free ones. A sticky at the top of the page has some sources.

Keep us posted.

The codes are stored in the panel AND in the ECU.

You can reset the panel but the ECU stored code usually won't go away until it's cleared with diagmaster. And no I won't tell ya how to reset it in the panel because many folks will be just doing it when their DPF if plugged and then I'll get blamed for a burnt up engine among other things. So don't ask, sorry.
