Hey guys, i’m new to this forum so i want to thank everyone in advance for the help!

I recently just purchased a g6200 with alittle over 1,300hrs. I brought it home and it was running great. I changed the fluids and filters (napa) because they looked like it was a awhile since they were changed. I noticed that someone had changed some things since when it rolled off the lot. (Battery cables were changed to lead posts like a small car battery, and the fuel filter before the electric pump was taken out and a piece of pipe put in it’s place, and the sediment filter before the injection pump was changed to an inline) All was going good untill i got to the fuel filter. I changed it and now my tractor cranks very slow like the battery is dead. Today 9/13/18 i bought a new battery and put it in but it’s still doig the exact same thing. Any suggestions?

Check that battery, the new one. Friend just replaced his battery, THE new one was worse than old!!!

If not battery.....then something in the wires are suspect

Thanks 85Hokie

A buddy of mine said the same thing. I followed the wires and they are looking pretty bad and the ground wire gets hot to the touch when i crank it.

I will check the battery and wires tomorrow ans let you know

Thanks!

Might remove and clean the ground wire from the battery to the frame. Clean the metal where it bolts to the frame. While doing this make sure the battery wire is not full of corrosion by checking at the ends of the insulation.

Thanks D2Cat

I was going to try and get both new cables tomorrow and the grounds tomorrow. I hope this fixes it!
If that battery is "fresh" and if you replace those wires with a large gauge wire and clean the connections.....I betcha she spins like a top!;)

I made some new battery cables out of #4 and cleaned the grounds and now she’s running good! Thanks guys!

Have a bit of an over heating problem but i have a feeling the rad is full of dirt. It looked pretty muddy when i drained the coolant.

Thanks guys for everything!
