Broke key off in ignition on my G4200. Took ignition out and to a lock smith. He removed broken key and made new one. Installed ignition back into tractor. Now no temp gauge, glow plugs and no oil light. Tractor cranks and runs. Pulled battery from my G5200 and removed ignition switch from dash only to compare wiring connections. I DID NOT remove any wires from switch. put ignition switch back in dash. Now no glow plugs or oil light. Didn't run tractor enough to check temp. I am lost as to what happened to G5200 and G4200. Your suggestions will be appreciated.

The G series tractors have a VERY simple , old-school, electrical system. Heck, there is not even an alternator.

The add-on safety-switches are the biggest headache to cranking the engine. (seat, pto...etc)

Did you check the fuse? If that is OK, consider consulting the electrical schematic. It is in the back of the manual. (available here ==> http://www.kubotabooks.com/AutoInde...ls/&file=G3200 to G6200H operators manual.pdf )

My G6200 did this to me the day I brought it home.. It was a fuse under the steering wheel.

My dad's G1800 does this with a bad battery or poor battery connection. If it's not the fuse, I'd make certain the starter is getting 12 volts.
