G1900 PTO won't stay engaged

Hi-

Just replaced the instrument panel on a g1900. Now all of a sudden the PTO will not stay forward/engaged. When I manually hold it in the engaged position it operates the blased deck as per usual. However, when I let it go it pops backward and the PTO stops. Any suggestions? BTW the cable does seem to feel a bit loose.

Sounds like something didn't go together right when you installed that panel?

thanks...well the PTo handle and cable are off to the right a quite a bit away from the panel... really at a loss. i've taken the new panel off and re-installed, not luck.
