Hello,

as a by-catch when buying a cutting deck I aquired a rotating brush. The problem is that the mount for the tractor is missing, so I have to build it (unless I can find it somewhere to buy). I did some searches on the internet and found pictures of the snowblower mount which I think is the same. The picture here I found on Orange Tractor Talks, I hope it's acceptable to "borrow" it. I am not 100% sure how it works.

As far as I can see the front pins (orange arrow) go into the locking mechanism with the lever, same as the cutting deck. The back pins (green arrows) into the bars that are attached to the lifting cylinder. That leaves the bar (blue arrow). Is that attached to the tractor frame and then pushes the mount forward when lifting so that the front of the lower frame comes up? Is there an extra bracket mounted on the frame then?

Is that mount sold separately? I read here that the snow blade attaches to it too. Does anybody have a part number of this mount mechanism then? Or would anybody have the main dimensions (I could probably derive them from the tractor)?

Questions over questions...

Kind regards,
Hugo

Try to see if you can get into a Kubota illustrated parts list in your area. Then you can search for your tractor and then there is a list for options that show up. That is a list of the implements that fit your model. Then you can see the mounting bracket for the implement.

I looked and the sweeper mount looks different than your picture but I can’t really see both at the same time, so hard to compare.

Hello Russell,

the only online parts list on Kubota USA is censored for access from Europe. The European Kubota web site link to the parts catalogues leads to a server error. The PDF parts catalogue I have does not show implements, only options attached to the tractor itself.

I believe the picture is from a G1800 snowblower, I took it from a thread here on the forum. I found other pictures from auctions on the web, they look the same to me but picture quality was not half as good, so difficult to see.

I could be wrong that the sweeper uses this mount, I only made this assumption because I found hints that the snow blower and the snow blade use this mount, the sweeper would be very similar, so why design a different mount?

I found a sales brochure for this tractor on ebay showing available implements and I bought it, so maybe this can shed light onto the mount. It should have been here already, but I think the storm through a spanner into that.

If all fails I can always design my own but buying an existing one would make it much easier.

Kind regards,
Hugo

If (IF ) you can get a computer wiz to install a VPN into your computer, you can make it appear you're in the USA and then access the Kubota website.
I have the same problem here in Canada, can't access Kubota USA, which is really, really STUPID and makes ZERO sense.

if you can post picture of your broom unit. I see a GF3250 here in Canada, but best to see what you have.
I'm assuming you need the entire 'sub frame' or whatever they call the piece ?

Hi,

yes, VPN seems to be the way to go. I am also having more and more problems with this Cloudflare, excuse my language, crapware that prevents me to visit about 15% of web sites. Companies use this rubbish in their web sites not even realising they are losing a lot of potential business here.

And yes, you are right, the whole frame is missing, not sure either what the official name for that is. It basically ends with a gear box and PTO shaft.

In bought a 54" cutting deck in very good condition in Austria, below market value and a grass catcher and this brush came with it, so I cannot complain. But I want to get the brush working, would be very useful with the paved driveway here in Ireland.

The brush is still in Germany, I have no idea what number it is, all I know is that it is orange, 1m wide (a bit over 3 feet) and has a big Kubota sticker on it. Could be a fake JD brush for all I know at the moment :giggle:

Kind regards,
Hugo

Actually, found a picture from the seller, I am afraid it is the only one I have at the moment:

Ok I am somewhat confounded on this now.

I looked at the Kubota parts list and it shows a few sweepers for the G1800 and G1900. They were 50, 51 and 54 inch models so not close to one meter wide.

Then I looked at the frame mount for all three sweepers and saw that they all seem to be the same on the TRACTOR side of the implement. But none show really how the implement mounts to the tractor mount! So your picture above seems to be the implement mount not the parts for the tractor but I am not sure what I am looking at.

here is the tractor mount illustration for these sweepers

Hope that can help you some.

Hello Russell,

great, thank you very much, that helped a lot !

With the G3254 number I found more things on the internet. It seems there is the lift mechanism from my picture and then the interface mounting kit that you found.

Screenshot_20250126_083221_com.huawei.browser.jpg Screenshot_20250126_083208_com.huawei.browser.jpg

To be honest, this is an awful lot of mechanics just to lift a brush. Possibly due to the requirement to use the existing lift cylinder of the cutting deck. And not even the possibility to turn the sweeper sideways.

So I wiil build my own mounting mechanism, either with electrical actuators (simple) or hydraulic actuators (challenge, yes, love it).

The sweeper could have been from any tractor although the deck and grass collection mechanism definitely came from a G1800/1900. But the 1m width suits me perfectly because all my paved walkways are 1m wide.

Again, thank you very much for your help, problem solved, great people on a great forum! (y)

Kind regards,
Hugo

I received the sales brochure and it has a list of available implements for the G1800 / G1900 / G2000 including Kubota part numbers. The brochure is from March 1989, so numbers may have been replaced later.

GREAT another 'backyard bodger' !,love it when guys make stuff !!
I suggest using wood to build the prototypes. Obviously won't support the weight but a LOT easier to 'machine' into parts that fit !! Wood is cheap, lightweight, easy to cut and drill and any 'wrong' pieces can be tossed into the firepit.
