What is the ID, 1/4, 3/8, 5/16, of the fuel line on the B2650? Any suggestions on what shutoff valve to get; ease of install and fit? Also if you have pictures of it installed that would be great.

Always wondered with this, does this method not induce the same undesirable effect of running out of fuel (bubbles in the fuel line)?

The only time I would use it would be when changing the fuel filter, trying to eliminate the mess.

That is why I did it ....changing those two filters can be a pain on the BX.....cutting off the fuel first ONLY gets you a little wet with the fresh old spice smell of diesel!:D:)

On the BX .......even if the fuel line is empty - simply turning the key to the "on" position will activate the fuel pump and it will pump the air back to the tank over 20-30 seconds!

Interesting. I'm interested in this primarily for the purposes of complicating theft. Currently out of town and wishing I'd have done more than chaining the steering wheel and pulling the ignition fuse...

This may not be the answer then.......On the BX you would need to crawl up and under JUST to find the cut off valve.

Depending on how long a tractor sits ......I have heard of those that have FEL , raise the front end, remove a wheel and place the wheel elsewhere not to be seen, sounds drastic - but damn sure will slow down a thief.

IF it can roll, a thief with time will make it roll away.......thing truck with trailer and winch;)
