Fuel gauge on bx2370

Last time i used tractor around yard and change the hst filter. Noticed fuel was low to point that fuel light came on then go up 2 notches. Of course i figure time to add fuel if low. So i filled it up to full tank and close diesel cap. Let sit a couple minutes while cleaning up mess from maintenance work. Went to start tractor to park and it still registers at 2 notches instead if full tank. Tried search for answer but it was an older post about having to remove fuel tank and i just wonder if there could be just a loose wire to check by chance. Google not much help either. No trailer if it has to go to dealer for repair.

I'd say just use it for a while. Maybe the float arm stuck and will free up with some movement.

If it was a wire problem, it would go either empty or full scale. I tend to agree with D2cat that it is a stuck/sticky float inside the tank. Drive around on some bumpy areas and see if it loosens up. Changing it is a fair job, to get to that tank....

Ok will just trust for now but if not resolved after a few uses then dealer gets a call for repair job.
