Does anyone know if it's OK to use 8.0 x 16 ag front tires instead of the 8.3 x 16's that came on my L3940 4x4 tractor?
The size difference is very minimal and I only use 4 wheel drive on wet soft surfaces where there is slippage.
Reason being that 8.0 x 16's are much lower priced then the 8.3 x 16's. When talking to a Kubota dealer or tire supplier I have been getting mixed opinions.
Thank you, Dan S.

I wouldn't do it if it was my machine but like you got from your dealer/tire supplier you are sure to get mixed opinions here as well.

I'd heed Wolfman's advice.

I was overwhelmed with information when I once looked into the possibilities of replacing R4 tires with turfs. My impression was the best approach is to use factory tire specs on 4WD's

If I remember correctly, the 8.3x16 tire is 1 1/2" taller than the 8.0x16 tire.
I would not use the smaller tire.
