I attempted to look for an existing post about this topic, but couldn't find the simple answer to a question. I have an L4060 HST tractor. I need to swap out the tilt cylinder on my loader. I know how to relieve pressure and remove the cylinder. On the reinstall, do I need to fill the cylinder with fluid prior to connecting lines? Do you bleed the system once installed? Whats the proper process on this. Happy with a link to an existing post.

Thanks for the help - DT

self bleeding..... 'cycle' maybe 4-5 times then it'll be full of fluid.
now you may have to 'top up',as you've probably lost some oil..so check the dipstick.

You want the tractor off, the loader on the ground and the loader controls moved back and forth to relieve any pressure. Upon reinstall, the system will fill and bleed itself as you exercise the loader controls. Just monitor transmission fluid level.
