Hi all.
I was using my BX2200 to push some muddy, wet sand and push around a manure pile and it was working fine. Parked it and went about my business. Came back to harrow the arena and front right wheel is completely locked up and won't spin. It moves with the center cylinder for steering, but won't budge, even off the ground. I'm afraid something in the front differential went south. Any thoughts?
thanks in advance.
Tom

ouch.....
hmm... another 'test'...
put it back into 2WD..... so ONLY have to worry about the front axle parts....
with the front axle off the ground... does the LEFT wheel go round and round ??

If it was fine when you parked it my first thought would be water contamination in the front axle fluid that froze.
Also try the test above.

Water freezing was my first thought too.

OP, how long did the tractor sit and what was the temperature?

agree with above statements...sort of.

Check for frozen mud/ice between inside wheel and the hub itself. Had the same thing happen on a BX years ago.

I put it in 2wd and raised it up. Left wheel was acting like it didn't want to move, but did. Right wheel still won't budge, but there is some mud up in there. Both of them have mud on the outside of the wheel hubs. It's 11 degrees right now. I'll hose it off with some warm water this weekend and see what I have. Thank for the insight.

Just pop the wheels off while you have them in the air. Whack the hubs a few times and you should be good to go.
