Have a three-year-old MX4700 with 280 hrs on it. And, due to good old Texas weather, it has been BURIED up to the floorboards in quicksand at least four times I can recall.

Lately, I noticed a "creaking" sound, and discovered the front axle is not pivoting freely. Turns out the rear pivot is not free. Front is fine, rear is sticking. Tried to take it apart, no joy.

Any gurus out there with wisdom? I hate to break something with pry bars and heavy hammers!!

Thanks in advance! Dave

Have you tried greasing it?
Tried injecting solvent in through the grease fitting?
Tried removing the bolts (front and rear holders dropping the axle) and moving the rear holder back off of the bushing?

If you've got a good grease gun, sometimes greasing it will create enough hydraulic pressure to force it off.
