hi everyone I'm a newbie. I have a 2009 bx 25 and im noticing my front axle leaking. appears to be drivers side where it goes from horizontal to vertical. it is definitely low on oil and when I take the cap off there seems to be air trapped in. I've noticed this has been ongoing for the last few years. sometimes I would see a leak and other times there isn't. so if its a seal, is it a big job to repair?

More than likely the air pressure trapped inside the axle is causing the leak. It may not need the seal replaced, just need to vent the pressure.

Worn bearing?
Worn seal?
Under a load it causes the axle / seal to get out of alignment and thus leaks. ;)
