While this a completely doable job, know that there just isn’t much room to work on this little beast. The hardest part for me was getting the new belt to ride up over the alternator pulley. After about 45 minutes of trying to turn the engine over while applying pressure to the belt at the pulley (and pinching my fingers...and swearing) I, at my wife’s suggestion, put a hefty cable tie around the belt. This helped in that it gave additional leverage to pull the belt up on to the pulley while simultaneously turning the engine over.

I did find that the rubber boot at the driveshaft is cracked; is there a straight forward way of replacing this? I’m assuming I’ll need to disconnect the driveshaft at the front...?

Thanks!

Cut the boot off and forget about it, or so I've been told. ;)
In order to change that boot, you would need to pull the motor forward.
