Hello,
I am looking to buy a finish mower for my kubota. What are my limitations? According to tractor data it puts out about 16hp to PTO. Can i run a 72" deck off the PTO or should i stay with something a lot smaller?

Thanks for your input

B9200, I have a B9200 with a Kubota 60" belly mower. I can mow just about any height grass at almost any speed. I usually go close to full throttle in med range and that's pretty darn quick in my ~.75acre yard. If you were mowing more than 6" of grass or trying to use high range, then I would say for sure you won't want more than 5'. Its all about speed with the HST machines, you can slow down a little if your engine bogs and keep moving along even if you have too big of a mower. It would be interesting to see the offset in time between a 60" mower at lets say 7mph vs a 72" at 5mph....I would guess it would be a wash.....

i see your point. I would like to have a belly mower for mine but the cost of them doesn't make much sense to me. I also have a front loader on the tractor so when using it i would have to take the mower deck off which is a bigger pain then a finish PTO mower.
