I noticed today on the hydraulic shafts that connect to the front bucket, there is a round O ring that has rolled down at the end of each shaft. You can roll it back and forth, so it certainly looks like an O ring to me. There is no sign of leakage at all. I thought at the 50 hr check up I'd ask about it. Has anyone else seen this ?

they are there on the FEL on my BX24 also.
I heard they are put there to keep paint away from the seals when the cylinders are painted... don't really know if that's true, but for sure they serve no useful purpose now.

I had the same question and took my Bx24 to the dealer and asked what is going on. I was told that they are are just there for painting the rams. They are worthless to the end user.

There there to protect the seals from dirt, On page 19 of the three page insert in the operators manual it says that every time the ram is extended your supposed to slide the o-ring back up against the body of the cylinder.
