Hi Gang!

Owned my BX18 for about 10+ years, been a random LURKER on here for a number of years when the site would pop up on doing a Google search for various info. BUT - now that I "OFFICIALLY" joined I can't find any info on the control valve on my BX18 for my LA211 front loader. Yeah, I KNOW it's not really a TRACTOR but it's all I can afford.

I believe it's taken a dump on me BUT I will NOT spend $1050 to replace it - YET... I can't even find the seal "Rebuild kit" I previously found - and I even remember it showed 2 kits at $100 plus.

When the front loader is unhooked/removed the hydraulics all work just fine. When the FEL is mounted and hooked up she will work BUT when I use it to "LIFT" it seems that there is a blockage somewhere and won't let the hydraulic fluid return to the reserve tank and just starts SPEWING out of both 75538-63010 CYLINDER's at the rearward facing seals.

ANYBODY out there got some wisdom they'd be willing to share with me about troubleshooting this little hydraulic Gem? I've remember seeing a few articles just looking around - but no one came up with a definitive aftermarket replacement for a REASONABLE cost. ANYBODY get one from someone they can recommend?
ANY and ALL HELP is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

The only logical reason that I can think of that your having that sort of issue is that you have input and output lines crossed up.
Something like in to tank and tank to in???

THANKS for the QUICK reply Wolfman!

As a VIP service tech have you had a lot of experience with the valves? Are they usually troublesome OR am I just living wrong?

I never had the FEL off the tractor UNTIL I saw the leak, so I ASSumed I had some type of blockage or "Clog" in the valve somewhere and can't hardly find any info on the valve. I did disconnect the loader after I saw her leaking to try to isolate the issue. I have the manual for the BX18 AND LA211 Loader BUT - of course - I can't find either one. I was hoping one MIGHT show me the direction of travel of the hydraulic circuit???

Again - ANY and ALL HELP is GREATLY APPRECIATED! I am a MOTORCYCLE NUT but not so much a Tractor Nut... My bikes don't have much hydraulics on them.

First start by giving me a picture of the valve assembly.
There are 2 different valves for that tractor/loader combination. ;)

Hi all - bumping this "fairly" recent thread as I have a similar issue. I believe that I likely have a rusted out spring or two on my valve. Interestingly the tag on my Husco valve shows 7J240-61011 (vs. 61010) - which Kubota claims is an invalid part #! So I'm assuming the 61011 and 61010 are really the same part. A local quote on a rebuild was the same as a brand new valve ($1100 approx).

My valve is working fine other than returning back to center on the bucket roll operations. Note that in the winter (when left outside), the bucket roll would freeze up until fluid was warm enough, so I'm sure water has been getting in there for a while (my bad). Before spending over a grand, I'd like to see if I can clean it up and replace springs, but I'm unable to find the kit for this. I contacted Kubota parts and they said they couldn't help - only offered replacement valve. Suggestions? Thanks in advance!!

I've had a couple of valves apart and the spring is just a compression spring. You don't have anything to lose, why not disassemble the thing. I think you can find the spring at a good hardware store's "spring selection" drawer! Look for something the correct OD and stiffness, if it's too long trim if down some.

You're right - nothing to lose! Thank you for the advice and I'll give it a try this weekend. Hopefully one of the springs is in sufficient shape that I can match it up.

@D2Cat - I pulled the valve apart and sure enough, spring was rusted through (actually still had compression before disassembly, but broke easily when I pulled it out). For $1 I found a very similar one @ our local HW store and replaced it. However, the bushings at the two ends of the springs are rusted through as well, so it compresses but won't properly expand when rolling bucket the other way. I did find the regen kit for this valve that looks to have everything I need, and I confirmed the other piston on the value (raise/lower/float) is working just fine, so think this kit should do the trick! Thanks again for your advice.

Your welcome. Hang around. Keep posting, after 5 post you can post some pictures. When you get it together you'll be an expert, because as you discovered, they're not too complicated.

I went 13 rounds with my Husco valve on The B2410.... It seems to be working well. BUT if it goes out again... I have a replacement already spected out a Prince valve. Serviceable, stock parts available and about $500 and change (the quote included all the fittings to match to my lines).... Not a big fan of Husco Valves,,,,

Just wanted to update... so I got the regen kit and took me about 45 mins to pull the valve, remove old parts, clean, re-install new kit, re-install valve and test it out. Works like new!!! Easy enough job to handle with basic tools.

So... water gets in where the spring is and wreaks havoc on those parts. Spring was rusted through, as were the compression bushings. Those bushings aren't really easy to find by themselves, but the kit includes everything needed. Also, hopefully the new kit helps keep out water going forward as well. For minimal expense, I replaced the top (upper) plate & seals to keep water out as well.

If anyone needs it in the future, here's the parts list (for bucket side of valve, controlling roll):

Kubota 7J240-65100 (KIT REGEN )
Kubota 75536-65600 (KIT,UPPER BUCKET)

Guess manure pile has no excuse now...

I emailed my local Bota dealer and gave them my Tractor Model, year and the subframe model number that included my control valve along with the model of the 4 way dozer blade. I then inquired about the aforementioned Husco repair kits applicability to my control valve.

Not real encouraged at this point. Got a message saying they want me to drop by to talk about it.... I will pop up on Monday... not holding my breath....

Butch - this is the link that ultimately helped me and led me to the right parts:

http://www.kubotabooks.com/AutoInde...df&AutoIndex=21239be434ba1c459c935492388eba48

Not the same exact loader as mine, but same valve with a nice parts explosion diagram. Note that the metal plate on my Husco value shows: 7J240-61011, but Kubota told me that's an invalid part # (strange), and should be 7J240-61010. So if you can find that # on your valve model plate (if readable), maybe will get a hit in the above doc.

Note that diagram and parts list on Page # 16.
